So i just read this in the player info:

"Jul 15 Saito has been diagnosed with a sprained elbow ligament and will be shut down for six weeks and then reevaluated, reports the LA Daily News.
Recommendation: Huge blow obviously for the Dodgers, as Saito is likely done for the season. Jonathan Broxton will close in his place."

Right now i've been holding onto Chien Ming Wang (using my DL spot) figuring that he might be good to have if he comes back at the end of the season for fantasy playoffs. but now my best RP is going to the DL for a while. Should i let it go as is and hold onto both, or drop Ming Wang to use an Add/drop for spot pitchers and hitters? As anybody, i enjoy having that spot in case saturday rolls around and i need a lil extra help in a couple cats (as well as when there are days with few games).

My team: (9 hitters start, only one DL spot)
C- R. Martin
1B- P. Fielder
1B/3B- K. Youkilis
SS- H. Ramirez
2B- B. Phillips
2B/3B/SS- Y. Escobar-(Bench)
OF- MArkakis, Hamilton, Ichiro, C. Lee
SP- Harden, Peavy, Felix, CC, Volquez, Jurrjens, Billingsley, Ming Wang (DL)
RP- Saito (DL), B. Lyon, M. Gonzalez, B. Morrow-the last 3 guys were all waiver pickups

Obviously i would drop Morrow once putz reclaims the closer role but thats not for at least another couple of weeks. So i could ride out the next two weeks w/o that extra add/drop spot, or i could drop one of the waiver RP's that i have to get the spot, or I could drop ming wang or even saito if it looks like he wont return (but i think thats premature). I just dont know what to do, i do have enough faith in my team that i think i could survive w/o having the extra spot. Your thoughts?

Cats are a 5/5 split: Wins, Saves, ERA, WHIP, K's, HR's, Runs, OBP, SLUGP, SB's
I'm in 2nd place closing in on 1st, starting to break away a lil from the rest of the teams.
We're allowed 5 moves a week, and by a decent margin i have used the most cumulative moves than any other team.

remember that baseball injuries are handled very differently than most other sports. Saito will sit for 6 weeks, then be sent to AAA to pitch a few games to get back in form. You may be looking at 7-8 weeks  without him. With only 7 weeks remaining (assuming your league setup), he can only help you in the playoffs at this point.

Hope this helps a little

saito wont be back this year

he is 38 yo no need in rushing him back due to the state of the dogers unless they make a strong playoff push

wang wont be back this year either, might as well cut your ties with him and pick up a player on the dl that might make a contribution later on

putz will be back soon but id hold on to marrow untill he takes the closing roll back

if your in the market for another rp and missed out on braxton look at corpas as he might regain the closer role once the rockies trade fuentes

so instead of keeping ming wang or saito on my DL, are either of these waiver DL guys good enough to pick up to hold onto:

SP-Chris Young, Dustin McGowan
RP-Troy Percival, Rafael Soriano

Percival was picked up, but Franklin was just dropped as well as Fuentes. Would either of them be better to have than brandon lyon who just blew hard last night? I also just picked up Volstad, we'll see how he does tonight.

Man, also Jeter and Tulowitzki are on waivers right now, are either of them worthy of dropping Yunel escobar for? The only reservation i have with that is that he plays all those middle infield positions and i already have Hanley as my SS, so they would just be jockeying for my one utility spot which is generally filled by my OF since i have 4 great ones.
